Maximizing Your Business Potential

3 Tips For Having Success With Business Card Marketing

Do you have a lot of business cards just sitting there and collecting dust? Well it’s time to put these business cards into action. And to do that, we may have to revamp your entire business card altogether. In this article, I want to share with you the wrong and right ways of marketing with business cards.

Many business owners don’t design their business card in the right way, so I’m here to show you how you can break out of the mode, and use your business card to attract people to your business. Here’s tip number:

1) You need a short headline

Your headline should be at the top and shouldn’t take up a lot of space. If you have logo at the top of your card – scrap it. People don’t care about you nor your logo. All they care about is how you can help them with their problems. So scrap the logo and put up a meaningful message that will cause prospects to want to learn more about you.

I learned this a long time ago and the advice still holds true. If you want a headline that stands out and makes people want to learn more, you have to start using direct response marketing into the niche. For example, in my business card, I have the following question as the headline of my card:

“Could Your Business Use A Constant Stream Of New Customers?”

This simple question will outperform a logo any day of the week. So don’t forget that. Here’s another tip for having card success.

2) Demonstrate credibility instantly

The fastest way to do this is to include testimonials on the back of your card. Also, make sure the testimonials that you use quote certain figures or have a concise description of the services that you gave them. This will make you look like an obvious expert in your field, and it’s something that you can bank on when it comes to making yourself look like an expert. Here’s the final way to use business cards to market your business:

3) List your business card information on the front

If you have a website, blog, email address, forum, or even a telephone number, be sure to list them all on your card. The last thing you want is for a hungry prospect to come to you, while you don’t have the necessary tools to help them out. So more than likely, they will probably go on to one of your competitors.

To market with business cards, you just have to know what you’re doing. Hand it out to people who will more than likely want to do business with you, and you could possibly strike joint venture deals based upon your business card alone. So don’t rule it out just yet.

Marketing with these cards are easy, you just need to know how to market them to the right people. Don’t hand it out to your competitors because this just doesn’t make sense. Instead, hand them out to people who can be of immense benefit for you and your company.
